The 1960's-1980's in America
1960's- known as the era of cultural revolution in social norms, sexuality, music, and drugs.
The 1960's were defined by war and civil unrest with many counter cultural movements. The 60's gave way to anti war protest from many Americans who believed Vietnam was not our war to fight. Civil rights activism was at an all time high with leaders like MLK and his I Have a Dream Speech. As well as the women's Rights movement demanding equal pay and opportunity.

The 1970's
The 1970's were known for there scandals and crisis as well as a new age of music. The biggest scandal during this time was the Water Gate scandal that lead to the impeachment of president Richard Nixon. During the 70's wars in the Middle east caused the oil crisis where gas had to be shinned. The 70's weren't all war and chaos it was defined by a new age of Music and movies with Artist Like Led Zeppelin and Kiss and blockbusters such as Jaws.

The 1980's
The 80's marked the end of the cold war with the fall of the Berlin wall. Years of anti communist protest and political unrest came to an end.Although Iran-Iraq war and the soviet war in Afghanistan still loomed the threat of communist leaders in the world. The 80's also brought new technologies like arcade games and the IBM computer.
